Indonesian Army Withdrawal From Aceh.
GAM Rebels Handover Weapons To The Aceh Monitoring Mission (AMM).
December 2005

For 30 years GAM rebels fought the Indonesian government troops (NTI) in Aceh. The devastation of the tsunami of December 2004 finally brought this bloody conflict to an end. Both parties signed a peace agreement in Helsinki in August 2005.

This led to the withdrawal of the NTI and the handover of GAM weapons to the Aceh Monitoring Mission ( AMM ) in December 2005.
